Marilyn Campiz came to Chic Today in October 2007, a regular contributor profiling art trends and artists. In Minneapolis, she cut her journalism teeth with public radio, in classic journalism techniques. After drinking her fill, after meeting an author who advised her to sip of life deeply, believing in her writing potential, she is now solely devoted to her literary career and is a strong supporter of the Chic Today vision.

Marilyn Campiz converted a portion of her private writings into her first book, The Erotic Writings of Unobtainable. With her second book, Season of Want, she explores the realms of passion and desire that goes further than the flesh, but evolves into a quest for love. She firmly believes there simply isn't a monopoly on sex or sensuality because “we are all capable of having what we want, but most are at a loss on how to get what they are looking for when it comes to relationships.” Though very educated, holder of a Masters in Business and a Bachelor of Arts; she cites her real education has been through her relationships. The relationship status is not the identity, single, married, or divorced—the only constant is the person.

Her motto? “I am not sexually repressed, you shouldn’t be either.”
